Abstract
The kinetics of 2- and 4-aminopyridines by aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite has been analyzed. It has been shown that the reaction proceeds at express speed at 276-299 K (0.8 – 3.7)·10–2 l·mol–1 ·s–1 and oxidation of 2-aminopyridine being 4.2 kJ/mol. An availability of amine groups in the position 4 of pyridine ring causes noticeable growth of activity of aminopyridine in comparison with 2-aminopyridine at oxidation by sodium hypochlorite (k=(2.9-7.4)·10–2 l·mol –1 ·s– and E= 22.1 kJ/mol). For both amines, maximum reaction rate is achieved at pH=9.2. It has been established that formation rate of oxidation products noticeably is out-grossed by consumption rate of aminopyridines
