Abstract
The article reveals the life and work of V.P. Nalivkin and a brief summary of his book, “Essay on the Life of a Woman of the Settled Landed Population of Fergana”, which was written in 1886. For the first time we presented views on the issues of Russian and Uzbek education. The paper also reveals the practical activities of V.P. Nalivkin (1852- 1918), who lived and served in Turkestan for over 45 years.
