Abstract

The article deals with the features of social and political texts translation, which is of particular importance in interlinguistic and intercultural communication. Special attention is paid to linguistic and extralinguistic factors affecting translator's choice of units; methods of national-specific realities translation in the socio-political discourse (transcription, transliteration, loan translation and description; translation of proper names and geographical names).
