Abstract
This article describes the events of XVII century, when the Kyrgyz, headed by Al-Soltonoem, went to fight against Oirot-Jungar khanate. The materials on Er-Salton and his exploits, fighting for justice and freedom of the Kyrgyz are collected. Materials are supplemented by oral folk sayings, as there are no documentary materials about the exploits of baatyr. Koshok song (memorial song) is one of the ethnographic sources; it reveals and completes the description of the life of El-Soltonoy.
