ON PERFORMANCE INDICATOR OF SCIENTIST’S SCIENTIFIC WORK

The existing criteria on effectiveness of scientist's scientific work are based on the number of publications in certain editions. They lead to negative consequences. Many shortcomings of modern science are mentioned in this article. It is possible dispose of them if the performance indicator of science is based not on the number of publications, and on their quality. Such indicators and algorithms of their calculation are also considered.
