SUBJECT CLASSIFICATION OF ARCHAICISMS IN RUSSIAN

The article is devoted to allocation of subject groups of archaicisms in Russian. The study is made on the basis of the original material of S-word archaicisms, chosen from the Russian Dictionary of XI-XVII centuries by continuous sampling method. The authors distinguish archaicisms according to grammatical features and present the subject classification of noun archaicisms, which are also allocated according to their animateness / inanimateness. The biggest subject group of archaicisms – “Abstract notions” – is distinguished.
