Abstract
The cotton varieties and their hybrid combinations having resistance to the black root rot were studied; the number of new cotton lines slightly amenable to these diseases was separated, a characteristic of which is the high rate of heritability estimate. The practicability of use in intravarietal hybridization of varieties M-4005 and M- 4007 – to identify the breeding material in terms of resistance to the black root rot and heritability, which can be explained by rich genetic potential of these varieties, is shown.
