Abstract
The article analyzes the data for intervarietal cotton plant crossings for productivity components for individual selection. The individuals of the population of any breed and line, independently of the method of breeding, change during ontogeny by genetic and phenotypic traits. Studying the offspring of varieties by the method of intervarietal crossings and selection made it possible to determine the range of variability in the components of productivity.
