Abstract

The genus Rubus L. is critical and problematic for taxonomy. In the west of Ukraine conducted only primary inventory of Blackberry diversity and information about species distribution is fragmentary. The results of floristics taxonomic research of subgenera Rubus (sections Corylifolii and Caesii), Idaeobatus and Cylactis of the genus Rubus for west Ukraine are presented. In work is used the concept of species in the genus Rubus proposed of H. Weber (Weber, 1985, 1995). Processed personal herbarium collections and specimens from herbaria collections (CHER, KRA, KRAM, KW, KWHA, KWU, LE, LW, LWKS, LWS, MSKU, UU). Characteristic of habitats is given according to H. Weber classification (Weber, 1979). On the results of primary inventory on the territory of Western Ukrain detected 5 species from section Corylifolii (R. orthostachys G. Braun, R. gothicus Friderichsen et Gelert ex E.H.L. Krause, R. haesitans Martensen et Walsemann, R. fasciculatus P.J. Müller, R. fabrimontanus Spribille) and R. caesius L., Rubus x pseudoidaeus (Weihe) Lejeune from section Caesii subgenus Rubus. Subgenus Idaeobatus and Cylactis represented by one species R. idaeus L. and R. saxatilis L. Widely distributed on territory of west Ukraine is R. caesius and R. idaeus. R. saxatilis sporadically happens on the flat part of the study. In the Ukrainian Carpathians extremely rare and not found in the Transcarpathian region. R. orthostachys happens in the Volyn, Lviv and Chernivtsi regions. Rubus x pseudoidaeus discovered in the Transcarpathian, Lviv and Volyn regions. R. gothicus end R. haesitans distributed in the Transcarpathian region. R. fasciculatus and R. fabrimontanus are known from single localities. Among the identified species predominate species of European areal type. European-West Siberian type of areal has R. caesius. European-Asian type of areal has R. idaeus. European-Siberian type of areal has R. saxatilis. For each species provides information about environmental features, distribution on the west of Ukraine and the general area, taxonomic and nomenclatural notes.
