Abstract
This ongoing research is focused on the sustainability scenario of solid waste management in the southern cities of Ghana. Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) management is a chronic environmental problem in most of the developing countries, including Ghana and finding a cost effective and environmentally safe way of recycling municipal solid waste has been challenging while these countries need more energy for development. This research also explores the role energy from waste might have in managing waste.
