FORMULATION AND IN VIRTO EVALUATION OF TELMISARTAN TABLETS: INFLUENCE OF SYNTHETIC AND NATURAL BINDERS

In this investigation an attempt was made to develop the immediate release solid oral dosage forms of Telmisartan by using a natural binder like isolated gum from Moringa Olifera and synthetic binder like PVP-k30 separately. Each binder was used in four different concentrations and total eight formulations were developed. The prepared tablets were evaluated for their physico-chemical properties and disintegration, in-vitro drug release. The formulations containing natural binder have given best results and it was known that the natural gum also acts as disintegrant in the formulations.
