Abstract
Developing communication networks made English a necessity as well as making it a must in English education in Turkey starting from elementary schools to universities. Despite the fact that English is compulsory from elementary school to high school, the students who have learned English for many years aren't that capable of learning English and establishing a commmucation in English. Especially, they fall short of speaking skills. BT(Boray Technique) is a unique technique for it was developed to enable especially Turkish students to learn English by improving their speaking skills. This study is done in order to indicate the effects of BT on 5th and 7th graders. From each level, two different classes were used to measure the effect of BT on the achievement levels of students. One of the classes was taught with BT in some part of English lessons, but there was no BT applications in the control class. At the end of this study it was determined that BT as a new and unique technique substancially contributes to students' learning English.
