Abstract

The article deals with the main methods of teaching foreign languages, as well as their advantages and disadvantages. The author describes six methods of teaching foreign languages: grammar-translation method, modern lexical-grammatical method, communicative method, immersion method, the method of physical response, the method of communication with foreigners.
