TIME AS AN EXPERIENCE OF THE SOUL ACCORDING TO AURELIUS AUGUSTINE

The article gives a general description of the thematic perspectives of the problem of time in medieval Christian philosophy in whole and, in particularly, in the views of Aurelius Augustine. The nature of time is con- sidered in the context of questions about the creation of the Universe (creation of the world of temporal things) by God and the human perception of time. The article concentrates on the positions of Aurelius Augustine about the relationship between time and eternity, the reality of three modes of time and their interrelation, and the con- nection of the ontological nature of time with the specificity of human perception
