Abstract

The article presents the laboratory test results of mine workings dust explosion protection operational control method and means creation, based on deposited dust reflectivity determination. The reflection quantitative index dependence on the degree of coals metamorphism, the dispersed composition of coal dust is established. The complexity of the study is that the method requires tracking the most dangerous fractions of less than 75 microns. In addition, both pure coal dust and the result of artificial rock dusting with the help of inert dust is considered. As an integral indicator of mixed dust surface state, it is proposed to use the light reflection from a mobile light radiation source. The developed analysis algorithm in the near-infrared spectrum will allow to develop a technique for opening surface remote scanning in an autonomous mode to check the coal dust accumulation and to inform about the need for carrying out the dust explosion protection measures. The article presents the testing results of four caking coal ranks: "G", "D", "Zh", "K".Coal and inert dust differ sharply from each other in color, hence the absorbing capacity of light radiation is different. It follows that coal dust has a lower reflection coefficient than the inert one. Gradation "dark - light" depends on the mass fraction of inert dust in the coal one.
