Abstract

The article presents the rationale for the use of premixes in feeding of agricultural animals and poultry, presents the advantages of introducing premixes into the composition of mixed feeds and their classification. The purpose of the developed universal complex premix for poultry is given. The methodology of the experiment on determining of the zootechnical efficiency of using the universal complex premix is described. The experiment was carried out in the poultry farm LTD "Ptitsevod" (Zhytomyr region). The experiment was conducted on laying hens Hy-Line W-98 cross between the ages of 19 and 30. There were formed 3 experimental groups of 88 heads each. The duration of the experiment was 84 days. All research groups received mixed feeds with the same nutritional value, corresponding to the needs of the body of the bird by age. Mixed feeds differed in the composition of premixes, which enriched it. Premixes were produced according to recipes developed by specialists of the Department of Technology of Mixed Feeds and Biofuel of the Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies. It was found that the productive effect of premixes fed to the 2nd and 3rd experimental groups on egg production, feed consumption per 10 eggs and the quality of eggs were better than the premix fed to the 1st experimental group. The indicators of the productive effect of the premixes of the 2nd and 3rd experimental groups did not differ significantly, however, the production cost of 10 eggs in the 2nd experimental group was significantly lower than in the 3rd group, which is associated with overspending of biologically active substances in the premix. So, the composition of the premix, which was fed to the 2nd experimental group, is optimal and its use is cost-effective, both in private farms and in the production of mixed feeds at large-scale enterprises.
