Abstract
In paragraph 41, "Safety rules in coal mines" Order No 1158 from 20.12.2010, the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision includes the following requirements: the mine must be equipped with complex systems and means of ensuring the tasks of the organization and implementation of safe production and information support for control and management of technological and production processes in normal and emergency conditions - the multifunctional safety system (MFSS). The article describes an aspect of MFSS regarding communication in the mine, monitoring and locating personnel in underground workings (positioning), accident messages alerting capable of transmitting to personnel regardless of their location prior to, during and after the accident, the search and the detection of people caught up by accident. Given example of implementation of a similar system.
