Abstract
At present, interest remains in the key problems of Russian history. For most researchers, the question of the policy of the Russian Church during the so-called Tatar-Mongol yoke remains topical. The fact is that some historians consider such a policy very convenient for further unification of Russian principalities politically, while others argue that the church was only looking for funds for its own enrichment.
