Abstract
The main purpose of the article is to study the territorial features of the unemployed population in Volyn region.
The scientific approaches to the definition of the concept "unemployment" and its consequences are considered. It is noted that unemployment is a component of social disadvantage of the population. The geospatial features of the unemployed population in the region by gender as well as age groups are analyzed. Such tendency can be characterized as unfavorable. So, a complex program of socio-economic development of Volyn region is necessary to solve these problems. Grouping of administrative districts of the region by the share of the unemployed is carried out. The problems of employment in certain administrative districts and the seeking for the ways to overcome them are highlighted.
