Abstract
This paper describes some theoretical and computational aspects involved on the implementation of an app for Standard Point Positioning (SPS) with GPS data. Broadcasted ephemeris are used, together with Klobuchar Model for ionospheric delay, Hopfield Model for tropospheric delay, and least squares adjustment. The aim is to provide for the reader the theoretical fundamentals and practical aspects concerning the procedures for the estimation of terrestrial coordinates from GPS satellites pseudorange observations. An example is present in the literature (Monico, 2008). In this paper, a similar approach is presented, but using the mentioned models for attenuation of the tropospheric and ionospheric effects. Recent data from the Brazilian Network of Continuous Monitoring (RBMC) are used in a practical demonstration example. Several important aspects are shown. Thereby the interested reader can replicate it, also using precise ephemeris and others models in order to perform Precise Point Positioning (PPP).
