Abstract
This paper explains the need of resource sharing and collaboration among public, academic & other libraries. In the present digital age, Resource Sharing and cooperation is very essential in all types of libraries due to high costs of journals, and lack of space and cost for processing and maintaining large collection. Increased availability of Information in digital format compels the library cooperation & resource sharing among different types of libraries and also presents the requirements and objectives of resource sharing between academic and public libraries.
