Abstract
The article considers a turning point in the history of the Stroganov school of Sculpture associated with a new concept of the architectural image. Initially focused on a dialogue with the architecture, it is one of the first to test a new plastic language of clean large spaces that appeared in the architecture of the 60s and later strongly developed in the 70s of the 20th century. Difficulties gave a jump-start to finding innovations in the creative interpretation of the situation. A new finding of the relief became a special topic, which turned from a subsidiary kind of sculpture, usually placed on secondary meaningfully places in architectural structure, into a leading practical form of art.
