Abstract
The article considers the characteristic motif ornament Seljuk site,
its features, the origin and significance as a landmark element inherent symbolic meanings. Analysis of the forms and techniques of this embodiment ornamental motif in the architecture of the Volga Bulgar and the Golden Horde, its symbolism as a sign of belonging to the Turkicnomadic world, the element of the traditional art of the nomadic ancestors, linking the past with the present.
