Abstract
The focus of this paper is on the theme of dance in ballet and in folk art in indoor and monumental decorative sculptural works of N. Danko and E. Janson-Manizer, made in porcelain and cast in bronze and iron. Dramatic characters of prominent Russian dancers and ballerinas in sculptural works of Danko and Janson-Manizer created in the 1920–1950-ies are considered. The bas-relief compositions of the Sverdlov Square and Dinamo metro station are analyzed.
