The Transformation of Industrial Areas as a Pattern of Urban Renewal

The article comprehends rehabilitated industrial areas as a public-facing urban spaces. Therefore main features of the urban conception of “creative city” are compared with the most famous worldwide loft-projects. As a result of such kind of analysis, we can highlight the features of a new urban matrix in mentioned projects, with high environmental qualities. In such way the conceptual project of Russian architects named “Factory Russia” be anatomized. It intends to revitalize Russian little town through the conversion of the city's industrial areas.
