Abstract
Compositional and graphical patterns of the “Samarkand” series of linoleum engravings by V.A. Favorsky are studied in the article. An analysis of the artistic forms in which the artist encompassed the episodes from the lives of Uzbeks is provided. The engravings by Favorsky are examined from the standpoint of the theories of composition and graphics.
