Abstract
At the heart of the article are the author's impressions of his trip to Greece in 1966. Value of the article is in the fact that it is written by an artist. His experience is especially important in the perusal of classical works of ancient sculpture. It allows us to appreciate the processes of shaping and composition of an art image from a professional point of view.
