Abstract
The article is on evolution of enamel glass-painting as one of arts of decoration of the Qing Period Chinese court glass. The article is about development of the enamel painting as one of decoration arts of the Chinese Qing court glass-making. The study illustrates the flourishing period of this decoration art during the Emperor Qianlong rule (1736—1795), and particularly it covers the origin of a genuine enamel painting style called “Old Moon Pavilion”. There depicted the basic types of decorating items, themes of pictures, and the meaning of their symbolism is exposed as well.
The specifics of the “Old Moon Pavilion” painting style, the “standard” of the Chinese court enamel thumbnails, is studied.
