Abstract
Truman doctrine - u.s. foreign policy program guide proclaimed seventy years ago, remains relevant in our time. The doctrine is the concept of deterrence of the Soviet Union. To this end, the planned establishment of a group of United States-controlled States around the Soviet Union, which would become an obstacle in the way of the spread of Soviet influence in the international arena. The proposed article attempts to analyze the main provisions of the programme.
