Abstract
As Web-based learning grows; we assist a proliferation of data, learning objects (LO) and tools. This imposes new challenges as, for example, how to organize these resources, how to share and reuse successful learning objects, and how to provide interoperability among data and tools. A key point is how to find artifacts that fit user´s need. This paper presents the current stage of BROAD Project, detailing metadata basic schema, the LO ontology, two domain ontologies and the framework development process. The architecture evolution is also presented and argued considering technology adoption. Some LO applications are highlighted to illustrate the using scenarios. Some related works are discussed.
