Hypokalemia induced acute onset of atrial fibrillation during emergency surgery A case report

Abstract : Atrial fibrillation (AF) remains a common problem in the elderly . AF is an arrhythmia which is common in the general population and it has a prevalence of about 4 to 8 percent and the causes are multifactorial . We describe here a successful management of a sudden onset of AF in an elderly patient who was scheduled for an emergency debridement of cellulite is of left leg .
