Abstract
Abstract : Sub-hyaloid or pre- retinal hemorrhage is collection of blood between the internal limiting membrane of the retina and the posterior hyaloid phase. Sub-hyaloid hemorrhage in the macula normally resolves over a period of 3 months ,which compromises vision. This hemorrhage when dislodged with the help of laser gets absorbed faster than when left alone. We present three patients who had pre macular sub- hyaloid hemorrhage following extensive physical exertion. The hemorhage was effectively managed by semiconductor dye laser 532nm hyaloidotomy, following which there was a drastic improvement in vision.
