Abstract
: Petersen's internal hernia is a rare complication following gastroenteral anastamoses. Previously it was most commonly found in patients who had undergone gasro enteral bypasses for peptic ulcer disease. With the increased incidence of gastric malignancies and increasing number of Roux-en-Y gastric bypass for morbid obesity, there is a resurgence of interest in this rare type of internal hernia. Here we present a case of Petersen's hernia in a 42 year old male with a history of Truncal vagotomy and gastrojejunostomy for peptic ulcer disease 10 years previously.
