Abstract
There was analyzed scientific definition regarding the category of «social capital», singled out the basic approach to its definition, which the focuses on certain elements of its structure. It was proved that the essence of this category is seen due to the described features. There were defined the form and features of their revealing in the field of tourism. The author gives his own definition for the economic category «social capital of tourism sector».
