Activation of social factors of regional sustainable development: spiritual and cultural aspects

The article contains the analysis of the role of spiritual and cultural potential of the society in the activation of social factors to ensure a sustainable development of the region. A structural model connecting basic elements of the spiritual and cultural potential with three dimensions of sustainable development (economic, social and environmental) is proposed. The article also grounds the main directions for further research of the the issues concerning the activation of social factors of sustainable development by the formation and attraction of the spiritual and cultural potential.
