Various Node Deployment Strategies in Wireless Sensor Network

ABSTRACT One of the key issues in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) is Node Deployment. Coverage and extension of node life time are some of the important aspects of node deployment. There are different deployment strategies used based on requirements and the environment in which the nodes are placed. In this paper, existing deployment methods are analyzed and discussed, classification is carried out on various deployment methods. Various node deployment strategies are discussed. The placement strategies used in those paper, main metrics used for calculation and the solution given in the previous works are discussed here.
