Abstract
The article discusses the features of the mental and intellectual development of young children, the development of objective activity and situational-business communication in this age, the role of parents in shaping the child's mind and intellect. Intellectual development is seen through the prism of the cultural-historical theory of LS Vygotsky, according to which the law of mental development in ontogenesis as the assimilation of the child in cooperation with the adult structure of the external, social and symbolic activity.
