THE CENSUS AS A FORM OF STATISTICAL REPORTING (BASED ON WESTERN SIBERIA AND THE STEPPES SECOND HALF OF XIX- BEGINNING OF XX CENTURY.)

The article deals with regional and national census campaign as a form of statistical records. Revealed differences of state statistical campaigns by regional, which is clearly evident in financial support, methodological training and the number of members, to exercise control over the progress of work, systematization of the collected material and its subsequent performance. Special attention is paid a one-day census towns of Western Siberia and the Steppe region, as well as sectoral statistical account.
