CURRENT ISSUES IN THE STUDY OF BURIAL GROUNDS MORDOVSKAYA II MILLENNIUM BC

The article is devoted to studying the history of research repositories Mordovians the late Middle Ages. The first cemeteries were opened in the late XIX century in Tambov and Penza provinces. On the orientation of the burials, they are divided into Northern (Erzya) and South (Moksha). Very little is known of the burials of the XV - XVI centuries, perhaps due to the fact that insufficiently developed their timeline.
