Abstract

The article shows that the crossing of cows of the Schwyz and black-motley breeds with bulls of black and white Holstein breed did not reduce the bone's strength. Bone, pasterns and hocks of animals Holsteins outperform their purebred peers by weight, length, girth of the diaphysis, as well as the thickness and area of the compacts that provide higher bone strength and can withstand high mechanical loads for small differences in chemical composition. With the increase of krovnosti on improving the breed studied, the signs have a tendency to some decrease.
