THE RESEARCH OF M. R. POLESSKIKH OF THE NEOLITHIC SETTLEMENTS OF THE PENZA REGION.

The article discusses the work of M. R. Polesskikh for the study of Neolithic settlements of the Penza region. The Neolithic wasn`t the main topic of his research, so M. R. Polesskikh engaged in exploratory research. Only in 1964 they were excavated settlement Ozimenki that were not successful. However, M. R. Polesskikh included multiple lifting fees from settlements of the Neolithic period. These materials were used by A. Kh. Khalikov in the monograph "The Ancient history of Middle Volga region". Currently the main provisions of these archaeologists are revised by modern researchers.
