The relevance of researching the problem of providing the social-economic development in the conditions of rapid changes in the external environment is noted. Synthesis of world experience of providing effective social-economic development is implemented. The main basic models of so- cial-economic development are allocated and their intrinsic characteristics are defined. Features of Anglo-Saxon model of development are considered on the example of the USA which is the world leaders in social - economic development. The analysis of the social-oriented model of development is carried out on the example of Germany. The main mechanisms of providing social-economic de- velopment of Poland are considered. The necessity of making our country a purposeful social- economic policy, taking into account the positive global experience is proved.
