Abstract

Almost four years ago, the Federal Law of Consumer Credit was adopted. One of the reasons for its adoption was precisely the fact that such a large-scale sphere, which had been actively developing over the last few years, did not have a separate regulatory and legal act. The law has seriously changed the approach to regulation by the Bank of Russia and the organization of the process in banks. Many items seemed unusual, but in fact all of them for many years were contained in law of many developed countries. The author has tried to systematize similar and different features with the normative legal acts of Switzerland and the United States of America, which ensures the relevance of the work.
