MODERN PREVENTIVE MEASURES AGAINST CHEATING OF DISTANCE LEARNING STUDENTS

Distance learning is a modern way to obtain tertiary education. Online assessment of distance learning students includes the control of e-mailed assignments and online exams. Academically dishonest student use the anonymity of internet. They hire ghostwriters, who may complete student’s assignments, take online exams, or take an entire course. The author observes modern preventive measures against cheating of distance learning students. They are: control of properties of e-mailed fulfilled assignments, online proctoring of exams, regular visual contacts of a teacher and a student trough Internet. Consistent use of these measures deprive the student of the opportunity to cheat.
