Abstract
The article is the outcome of a research on social networks as informational and educational environment. By applying statistical methods, the authors made a study of questionnaires offered to designated groups. By means of confidence intervals are evaluated the shares of designated group representatives who use social networks for instruction and self-teaching. Based on the results obtained, the authors came up with a conclusion that social networks could be perceived as the self-generating informational educational environment.
