Assumptions of the social institute of student government formation in the context of the society modernization

Student government in Russia doesn't have a long history; therefore it may be said without exaggeration that the system of student government is innovative in Russian education. At the same time it would be incorrect to think that the history of the student government in Russia numbers more than two decades. Russian and European student governments are rich of traditions of creation and development of student communities. Consider the modernization of educational system and the society in whole, the system of student government in the modern world is going to level up. It allows the system to participate in all the processes, which are connected with student's life and influence the authority and solve the problems in favor of students. Student government in Russia has got the support from the authority during the last decades. In a new education law «About education in Russian Federation», which was launched on the 22nd of December in 2012, it is pointed that no document can be signed without approval of student government. The support of the authority is a great achievement and can be considered as the result of a lot of efforts. On the contrary, according to the results of survey, students are not ready for student governments and take responsibility for this. Considering this, it is necessary to form the institute of student government and study methods and principles of this.
