Abstract
Knee injuries are a common occurrence particularly among young active individuals usually secondary to sports injuries. Injuries to the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) are most common accounting for 40% to 50% of all ligamentous knee injuries. These tears occur whenever there is maximum strain on the ligament with the knee in near full extension with a valgus force applied.
