Abstract

The analysis of materials of statistical reports of the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in the Ryazan Region for 1997-2015 was conducted with the aim of studying the incidence of infections associated with the provision of medical care among patients in the obstetric institutions of the Ryazan region. It was found that the average incidence of infections associated with the provision of medical care among puerperas was 2,4%, among newborns 11,6%. In general, the dynamics of morbidity among puerperas has a moderate tendency for growth during the period under study, in addition, the dynamics of the incidence is marked by three periods: 1997-2002 – with an average long-term indicator of 2,6% and a pronounced downward trend, 2003-2009 – with an average long-term indicator of 1,6% and a pronounced downward trend, 2010-2015 – with an average longterm indicator of 3,8% and a stable pattern of morbidity. The incidence of newborns has a moderate tendency to decrease in its dynamics, two periods can be distinguished: 19992004 – with an average annual index of 6,1% and a moderate downward trend, 2005-2015 – with ith an average long-term indicator of 11,7% and a moderate upward trend. The ratio of infections associated with the provision of medical care for intrauterine infections of newborns for the study period ranged from 1:1,9 to 1:18,7. In the period from 2004 to 2015, the dynamics of the incidence of newborns and puerperas acquires a certain synchrony, during this period, between these phenomena, a direct relationship of average strength is established. The intra-annual distribution of morbidity in newborns and puerperas is similar. The nosological structure of incidence of puerperas is dominated by postpartum endometritis, the second place is occupied by infections of the surgical intervention area, followed by mastitis, and the smallest proportion falls on generalized forms of infection. Leading positions in the nosological structure of the incidence of newborns are occupied by infections of the eyes and umbilical wound.
