Abstract

Dismissal of a soldier is often associated with a number of difficulties associated with the need to adapt to the new conditions of modern civil society, which often provokes financial, social difficulties, deteriorating health. In this regard, the maintenance of a healthy, healthy lifestyle is of great importance in preventing the listed negative consequences. The goal of research was the study of particularities of lifestyle and such important issues of it as social and medical activity of retired and resigned officers. The sociologic survey of 574 military retirees was conducted. The average age of retirement of surveyed officers was 54.1±3.8 years. It was established that the majority of respondents have sensible nutrition, spending on food 27.5% of the budget. Spending on prescription drugs amounted to an average of 19.4%. Among the officers dismissed from Armed Forces on age, consumption of alcohol and smoking are widespread. Reportedly, 84% of respondents had sought medical help at least once a year, and among them, 22.1% – at least once in six months. It should be noted that high social functioning military reserve (retired) was revealed: 78% estimated their mobility sufficient to 72.7% could completely take care of themselves, 70,3% were socially and 60% physically active, at 59.5% treat life with optimism, 47,3% retained interest in the life of the former.
