Abstract
The publication covers the First Kyiv Commercial College library, the fonds of which are now kept in the Department of librarian gatherings and historical collections of V. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. The author analyzes the college foundation history, traces the connection of the disciplines with the composition and content of the fond of the library, which had two divisions: fundamental and educational. Illustrated are the principles of the book fond organization and acquisition, distinguished are some of the most significant editions, which are a bibliographic rarity. Traced in the article is the further destiny of the College library. That is shown through the provenances of its books, which indicate that after the revolution they belonged to two higher educational institutions – M. I. Tuhan-Baranovsky Kyiv Cooperative Institute and later – Kyiv V. Ya. Chubar Cooperative Institute
